The idea
Pot odds compare how much you must call with how much sits in the pot. Example: facing a 10 practice-chip bet into a 40-chip pot, you risk 10 to win 50 total (the pot plus the call) โ a framing tool, not a crystal ball.
How learners use it
Combine pot odds with a rough sense of how often your draw completes. If the price is steep and your outs are few, folding is often the disciplined educational choice in a practice hand.
