Blinds, positions, and betting rounds

Before cards are dealt, two seats post the small blind and big blind. Those forced bets create a pot so someone has a reason to enter. In our demo the blinds are fixed practice amounts.

Action moves clockwise. Acting later is usually stronger because you watch earlier decisions first. The button marks the dealer position and rotates each hand.

Pre-flop covers betting with hole cards only. The flop reveals three shared cards, the turn adds a fourth, and the river adds the fifth. Each reveal is followed by another betting round unless the hand ends early.
