Doubling down and splitting pairs

After your first two cards, you may add a wager up to your original bet and receive exactly one more card. Doubling is a commitment: you will not take further hits on that hand.

When your first two cards share a value, you can separate them into two hands by posting a matching wager. Each hand is finished on its own. In the Card Game Academy demo you may split once (no re-splits), which keeps the lesson clear.

Split Aces usually receive one card each. Drawing a ten-value card makes 21, but that 21 is not treated as a two-card blackjack for the enhanced payout.
